Mounting has several purposes. Mounting provides protection/support of the sample surface, makes it easier to handle the sample, allows for several small samples in one mount and gives uniform sizes for clamping in a sample holder. To meet your mounting requirements both cold mounting and hot mounting systems are available.
Cold mounting resins cure through a chemical reaction. We have two different systems available; Epoxy and Acrylic. They both consist of two components that cure after being mixed together.
Hot mounting compounds are to be used in mounting presses, where they are processed at high pressure and temperature. Our range of hot mounting resins includes Epoxy, Melamine, Acrylic, Phenolic SEM and Phenolic.
