Our Aka-Allegran and Aka-Largan rigid grinding discs are made for one-step fine grinding of materials with a hardness between 50 HV – 2000 HV. They provide a unique system for material removal when diamond suspension or diamond spray is added during the preparation. They provide excellent flatness, even wear, high removal and are cost effective, since they can replace up to 1000 regular grinding papers. Furthermore, Aka-Allegran and Aka-Largan are ready to use, need no maintenance and have tabs for easy removal.
Aka-Allegran is recommended for materials harder than 150 HV and Aka-Largan is recommended for materials softer than 150 HV.
Aka-Allegran 9 provides perfect planeness and edge retention. It is the hardest disc in the range and recommended for materials harder than 450 HV. It replaces grinding papers P320-P1200. Aka-Allegran 9 should be used with diamond suspension 15 – 3 µm.
Aka-Allegran 3 provides very short preparation times, perfect planeness and retains soft phases (e.g. soft inclusions in steel). It is a medium hard disc and recommended for materials harder than 150 HV. It replaces grinding papers P320-P1200. Aka-Allegran 3 should be used with diamond suspension 9 – 3 µm.
Aka-Allegran 1 provides outstanding flatness. It is the softest disc in the range and recommended for materials harder than 150 HV. Aka-Allegran 1 should be used with diamond suspension 1 – 0.1 µm. This disc can also be used for final polishing of very hard materials and coatings.
Aka-Largan 9 provides perfect planeness and edge retention for materials softer than 150 HV (it can be used for materials with a hardness between 50-400 HV). It should be used with diamond suspension 15 – 3 µm. Aka-Largan is the optimal choice for fine grinding of soft and very soft materials.
